Recharge

To understand how tax is applied to your Recharge orders, first determine where your clients are billed: through Recharge or Shopify. You can find instructions in the Recharge Help Center.
  • Billed through Shopify: Shopify’s tax settings will apply.
  • Billed through Recharge: Recharge’s tax settings will apply. Learn more about how to set up tax collection in Recharge.
Recharge supports tax collection in states where you have physical nexus and/or economic nexus. To set this up for physical nexus, follow the steps in the Recharge Help Center.
